What services does Independence Home Health Care provide?

Do I need to sign a contract with Independence Home Care?

YES. Independence Home Health Care will clearly outline your selected services and the terms of the agreement between you the client / patient and Independence Home Health Care. The agreement serves both parties to ensure a thorough understanding of the services that will be provided. However, clients or patients may cancel the contract at any time, provided sufficient notice is given.

Am I locked into my service contract with Independence Home Care?

NO. Independence Home Health Care requires no long-term commitment for our services; however, cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance of a scheduled visit to avoid a cancellation fee. Independence Home Health Care reserves the right to charge for a scheduled visit if insufficient notice is not given.

Do I have the option to change nurses or caregivers?

YES. Independence Home Health Care strives to maintain excellent client and patient satisfaction. Our goal is to provide you with a well matched nurse or caregiver from the outset. Should you wish to change nurses or caregivers, we encourage you to contact our office right away.

What if I need to make changes to my service?

At Independence Home Health Care we understand that clients’ and patients’ needs change over time. Our service offerings are flexible, and we can adjust care schedules on short notice. We require cancellation/change notification within 24 hours of a scheduled visit.

How quickly can Independence Home Health Care provide service?

Independence Home Health Care can generally provide service within 48 hours. If immediate care is desired please contact our office and we will make every effort to accommodate your request.

How many hours am I committed to?

Independence Home Health Care typically requires a four hour minimum per visit, although exceptions can and will be made.

Do you schedule the same nurse or caregiver for each visit?

YES. Independence Home Health Care matches clients and patients to caregivers and nurses who best fit their needs. Our goal is to develop a strong, ongoing relationship.

What happens if my nurse or caregiver is unable to make my scheduled appointment?

Independence Home Health Care will gladly dispatch another qualified nurse or caregiver for your assistance.

Can your nurses and caregivers provide service in nursing homes or assisted living facilities?

YES. Independence Home Health Care can provide supplemental service to you in either type of facility. We can offer additional services alongside those already provided by the tending facility.

What are Independence Home Health Care’s fees?

Independence Home Health Care will provide the services selected at the rates established by our current Rate/Fee Schedule. The rates and fees depend on the type of service provided. Please contact us for a more detailed quote and an evaluation of your needs.

How often does Independence Home Health Care bill for its services?

Independence Home Health Care bills clients biweekly. Any questions regarding your invoice should be directed to our office.

Do I pay the nurse or caregiver directly?

No. Since all nurses and caregivers are employees of Independence Home Health Care, you are not required to pay the individual directly. Our office will bill you for services rendered biweekly, and cover all payroll taxes, insurances, and unemployment costs.

How do I make a payment to Independence Home Health Care?

Payment for services rendered by Independence Home Care are payable by major credit card, ACH, check or money order.

Are Independence Home Health Care’s services covered by my long term care insurance?

Maybe. Independence Home Health Care is listed as an accepted home health care service provider by many major long term care insurance companies such as John Hancock, Metlife, and Travelers.

Are Independence Home Health Care’s services covered by Medicare or Medicaid?

No. Independence Home Health Care is a private pay agency, not covered by government programs.
